What is Nihongo and Why Should You Learn It?
Nihongo, or the Japanese language, is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world! Nihongo study is structured into five levels through the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT): N5, N4, N3, N2, and N1, with N5 being the entry level and N1 the most advanced. If you’re new to Japanese, starting at N5 is a great way to begin!
To pass each level, you’ll cover five key areas: kanji, vocabulary, grammar, reading, and listening. For N5, you’ll start by learning around 100 kanji characters, 500-800 words, and about 80 grammar patterns to build your foundation. Let’s dive in together, step by step!
