Fuji’s awe-inspiring beauty, and I made a promise to myself that one day I would experience it firsthand. Now that I am finally in Japan, I am determined to seize this opportunity to fulfill my dream and witness the splendor of this iconic mountain.

This is a picturesque street located in the town of Fujiyoshida. It became famous because of the stunning view of Mt Fuji. This street offers local products, souvenirs, restaurants, cafe and many more.
How to get here from Shinjuku Station?
You can travel via car, train or bus going to Shimoyoshida Honcho street.
Bus
Travel time: ~2 hours
Cost: 2150 yen
1. From Shinjuku Station, walk for about a minute going to Shinjuku expressway Bus Terminal.
2. At platform B5, ride the bus going to Chuodo Shimo Yoshida.
3. Stop at Shimoyoshida Station.
4. Walk about 10 minutes going to Shimoyoshida Honcho street.
Train
Travel time: ~2 hours
Cost: 3340 yen
1. Go to Shinjuku Station.
2. In platform 9, ride “Limited Express trains on the Chuo Line”

Lake kawaguchiko
Lake Kawaguchiko, located in Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan, is one of the most popular destinations in the Fuji Five Lakes region. It is definitely one of the best Mt Fuji photo spots. You can clearly see the lake and Mt. Fuji by visiting Oishi Park.

Oishi Park is situated beside Lake Kawaguchiko, offering a breathtaking display of Nemophila blooms that add vibrant color to the park. It’s the perfect getaway from stress, where you can enjoy the picturesque views of the lake, beautiful flowers, and the majestic Mount Fuji.
To see full bloom of the flowers, the best time to go here is between mid of April to last week of April.

How to get to Lake Kawaguchiko from Shinjuku Station?
You can travel via car, train or bus going to Oishi Park.
Bus
Travel time: ~2 hours 19 minutes
Cost: 2770 yen
1. From Shinjuku Station, walk for about a minute going to Shinjuku expressway Bus Terminal.
2. At platform B5, ride the bus going to Yamanakako Hirano.
4. Stop at Kawaguchiko Eki.
5. Transfer to kawaguchi station local bus.
6. Stop at Shizenseikatsukan.
Train
Travel time: ~2 hours 43 min
Cost: 4700 yen
1. Go to Shinjuku Station.

Asagiri highland
Location: 〒418-0101 Shizuoka, Fujinomiya, Nebara
The next Mt Fuji photo spots is the Asagiri Highlands. It’s a good place to make a quick stop and take some photos. Just be careful of cars because there isn’t any parking.
How to get to Asagiri Highland from Shinjuku Station?

The best time to visit the Shibazakura Festival at Fuji Motosuko Resort is typically from mid-April to late May. During this period, the fields are blanketed with vibrant pink, purple, and white moss phlox flowers, creating a stunning and picturesque landscape with Mount Fuji as the backdrop.
The exact timing can vary slightly each year depending on weather conditions, so it’s a good idea to check the festival’s official website or live camera for the most accurate information before planning your visit.
How to get to Fuji Motosuko Resort from Shinjuku Station?
You can travel via car, train or bus going to Fuji Motosuko resort.

Travel time: ~3 hours

1. From Shinjuku Station, walk for about a minute going to Shinjuku expressway Bus Terminal.
2. At platform B5, ride the bus going to Yamanakako Hirano.
3. Stop at Kawaguchi eki.
4. Ride a bus at Kawaguchi station going to Shinfuji-eki.
5. Stop at Prefectural Border.
6. Walk for about 18 minutes going to the resort
Makaino Farm
Location: 1327-1 Utsuno, Fujinomiya, Shizuoka 418-0104

Out of all Mt Fuji photo spots, Makaino Farm is my personal favorite. It is a delightful destination offering a variety of activities for visitors of all ages.
1. Animal Encounter
Get up close with a variety of farm animals, including sheep, goats, rabbits, and ponies. You can feed and pet them, making it a fun and interactive experience, especially for children.
2. Horseback Riding
Enjoy a guided horseback ride through the scenic countryside. This activity is suitable for beginners and offers a unique way to experience the farm’s natural beauty.
3. Playgrounds and Outdoor Activities
The farm features several playgrounds and open spaces where kids can play and explore. There are also seasonal activities like tractor rides and sledding in winter.
4. Instagramable View of Mt Fuji
Every angle here is picture perfect. I really love their giant swing and the tall chair and it is 10/10 worth of experience for me. It is really perfect for couple.
How to get to Makaino Farm from Shinjuku Station?
You can travel via car, train or bus going to Makaino Farm.
Bus

7. Take a minute walk going to the farm.
Mt Fuji Yumeno Ohashi (Dream Bridge)
Location: 〒416-0931 Shizuoka, Fuji, Tadehara, 国道 139 号線
Mt Fuji Yumeno Ohashi is definitely a must visit Mt Fuji photo spots. It is only a normal bridge but with a beautiful Mt Fuji as a background.
How to get here from shinjuku station?
1. From Shinjuku Station, Ride a train heading to Tokyo station.
2. At Tokyo station, Ride “Tokaido Sanyo Shinkansen” at platform 14.
3. Stop at Shin-Fuji station.
4. Transfer to Shin-Fuji Eki and ride a bus heading to kyukyu Iryou center.
5. Walk for about 5 minutes.
Gotemba Premium Outlet
We recently had the opportunity to take a short trip to Mt. Fuji with some friends. Despite their tight schedule, they were eager to experience Mt. Fuji up close and also do some shopping during their visit. For this purpose, I highly recommend Gotemba Premium Outlets as an ideal destination.
Located near the southeastern base of Mt. Fuji, Gotemba Premium Outlets is one of Japan’s largest outlet shopping centers, featuring over 290 stores, including a wide selection of luxury and international brands. Shoppers can enjoy significant discounts while browsing through renowned labels such as Gucci, Prada, Coach, Nike, and many more. The outlet also offers a wide range of dining options and breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji, making it a unique blend of shopping and sightseeing.

How to go to gotemba premium outlet from Shinjuku by bus?
Step-by-Step Directions
1. Departure Location (Shinjuku Expressway Bus Terminal)
Head to Shinjuku Expressway Bus Terminal (a.k.a. Busta Shinjuku) near the South Exit of Shinjuku Station.
2. Bus Service
Take the Odakyu Highway Bus direct to Gotemba Premium Outlets—no transfers needed.
3. Schedule
Buses depart roughly every 2 hours in the morning and afternoon.
Example timings: 08:05 → 09:55, 08:35 → 10:10, 10:05 → 11:40, 10:35 → 12:25, 11:05 → 12:45.
Travel time ranges from 1 hour 35 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes, depending on the departure and route.
4. Ticket & Fare
One-way adult fare is ¥2,000 (child fare ¥1,000) when reserved online or bought at the terminal.
With a Hakone Freepass, the fare is discounted to ¥1,000 one-way (show ticket at boarding).
5. Arrival
You’ll arrive directly at the bus stop at Gotemba Premium Outlets, right next to the facility.
